Following a BA (Hons) degree from London Guildhall University, Emma trained as a goldsmith at Cox & Power, a prestigious London jeweller in Knightsbridge. Her work at Cox & Power has been sold through exclusive London retail outlets such as Selfridges.
Throughout her professional career, Emma has combined her commercial aspirations with a successful rowing career at Thames Rowing Club, followed by a brief spell at Furnivall Sculling Club in London. Her sporting background, particularly her rowing experience, has had a profound influence on her work and in 2002 she set up Mason Designs as a way to capture and channel her passion for sports and love for the water through her work.
This is evident in each individually hand-crafted piece of jewellery she has designed and produced. Although Emma is no longer a competitive rower, she continues her involvement as a qualified ARA coaching assistant at Guildford Rowing Club whilst pursuing her full ARA coaching qualification. She continues to expand her range of hand-made, exclusive silver and gold pieces to other sports including sailing, rugby, golf and cricket and is available for commissions on request.
